Who we are

The Sea Cliff Landmarks Association, founded in 1972, is dedicated to honoring and preserving the architectural and historical heritage of the Village through research programs and community education projects. We foster appreciation for Sea Cliff landmarks that are an essential element of the village's unique character. We also provide support for the restoration of the Village's historic public buildings, parks and pathways.

Sea Cliff Landmarks Association invites all who are interested in architectural landmarking; thoughtful Village planning; and fundraising for local preservation projects to become members. Our biennial house tour, lectures and other events are open to the public.

“When we build, let us think that we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such a work as our descendants will thank us for; and let us think, as we lay stone on stone, that a time is to come when those stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and people will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, See! This our parents did for us!”
